My name is John Vose. I am a self taught photographer living in the Jericho Hills area of Hartford, Vermont. I have always had a passion for nature, and a deep admiration for photographers who are able to share their experiences and stories so vividly through their images. Five years ago, I invested in a camera and a dream to share my experiences and stories through my images.

Equipment: I am a Canon guy. I currently shoot with the Canon 7D. My lens of choice is the Canon 500mm F4 IS, often with the Canon 1.4 extender attached. I also use the Canon 70-200mm F2.8 IS, the Canon 100mm 2.8, the Canon 50mm 1.8, and the Canon 18-55mm lens. I use a Gitzo tripod with a Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal Type head.

We met you today (3/4) at Plum Island while watching the Snowy Owl on the side of the road. Your pictures are incredible! What a wonderful website. We tried to like you website on facebook but it wouldn't come up. I hope that fixes soon, we would love to share your work with our friends.
